I am sitting chatting with a friend the other day and she asks me: So, what are you passionate about? I felt like I was slapped in the face! What was I passionate about?? ####! I don't know... I've been spending so much time putting one foot in front of the other, trying to figure what is my next move, that I hadn't stopped to check in and ask, what am I passionate about? We get busy, right? We forget to ask ourselves why are we here? What are we doing? Are we enjoying ourselves or are we just doing what we think we have to?
I believe that we all have a particular path in this lifetime. It is unique to each of us, but the universe is feeding you in the most subtle ways. We think, oh, I really enjoy doing this, but, in fact, what is really happening is that you are being clued into your soul's purpose. You are being shown what is in alignment for you in this lifetime. Those passions that you just love to do and feel so fulfilled by doing them, those are your life's purpose. The things that it doesn't matter if you are paid to do them or not, you just can't stop yourself from doing them. They instantly bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart. This is not a coincidence! This is a clear message for you to do more of whatever it is you are doing, because when you are benefitted, we are all benefitted.
If you will consider that all life is connected, that we are an interwoven tapestry of life. Though seemingly separate and independent, but at our roots, we all stand on the same planet, breathe the same air, and draw in the same nourishing energy of the sun. We, being the energy of this planet, work to bolster and uplift one another, or we falter and pull one another down. From a one-ness perspective, what I do to you, I do to me, and thus, what I do for me, I do for you. If I raise my energy and vibration, I therefore raise your energy and vibration. What does this mean in normal human speak? When one is passionate and committed to their source of fulfillment, they are also giving this gift to everyone. Ever been to a concert that the soloist moved everyone to cheer? To scream? To tears? Did you come out feeling so fulfilled? Or have you ever experienced art that moved you, even never having met the artist. But, all the same, felt all of the passion that they put into their art? This doesn't limit itself to music and art, because everything is an art. Everything that you do that moves beyond just an activity into a passion is an art. Whether its science, sports, stock trading, truck driving or whatever that really feeds you, it can be your art. Anything can be an art based on your devotion and fulfillment.
So, what are you passionate about? What really makes your heart hum with happiness? Is it your job? Is it your hobby? Is it something you did when you were a kid? How can you incorporate that into your life now? Celebrate and embrace your passion and the world celebrates with you.
